AIE, Academic Institute of Excellence, has a job opening for a Junior Technical Product Manager within its Information Systems department.
Position Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Investigate unauthorized access and the performance of administrative duties relating to security management by following and recommending best practice to safeguard the integrity and security of our systems.
- Building custom solutions, reports, and modules in the institution’s Enterprise Resource Planning system.
- Be the first point of contact and act as the communication channel between users and the development team.
- Coordinate and lead dedicated workshops and training sessions for users for the purpose of induction, upskilling and re-skilling.
- Demonstrate eagerness to learn about, maintain and improve our Student Portal and other systems. It will be required that you understand our internal business processes so that accurate and timeous support can be provided to the users.
- Maintaining, training, and managing our AI chatbot, including performing a gap analysis on unmatched intent patterns as needed.
- The successful candidate will be reporting to the institution’s Information Systems Head of Department.
- Understand current server architecture, standards, future technology plans thoroughly, and recommend emerging trends for both hardware and software infrastructure according to their research.
- Define system solutions based on user/client needs and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that systems support the institution’s business requirements and meet the needs of end users.

Application Requirements:
- BSc Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred.
- Knowledge of and/or experience in finance will be a distinct advantage.
- 2 years’ experience as an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Systems Administrator (systems such as NetSuite ERP, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Sage Intacct, SYSPRO, Oracle ERP Cloud or SAP ERP) is required. Please note that having experience in NetSuite will be most advantageous.
- Must be experienced in working on the following applications on an intermediate to advanced level: Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
- 2 years’ experience in assessing, designing, development, and deployment of large applications.
- Should be able to communicate with both technical and non-technical users after understanding their needs.
- Basic knowledge in Linux and natural language processing concepts (NLP) is required.
- Experience in dialogue flow is advantageous.
- Above average ability to understand, use and learn innovative technology, and highly interested in doing so.
- Must have your own transport.
- Successful candidate must be willing to travel between campuses (Midrand, Hatfield, and Greenside).

Salary: R240,000.00 - R360,000.00 per year
